Our 68 bed home comprises of 6 individual purpose built units, each of which include a kitchen, lounge and dining room.
Our service users are aged 65+, all with a cognitive impairment such as Dementia. It is a unique, modern environment, recently extended, with vast landscaped gardens and communal activity rooms for our residents to enjoy.
Fessey House aims to provide a supported living environment where older people can feel safe, secure and free to live their lives as independently as possible.

The service we provide is designed to meet the needs to each individual in such a way as to provide them with the opportunity to maintain as much control over their own lives as possible.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
As part of the COVID19 strategy this role will be subject to regular covid19 testing, as per the guidance set out by the Department of Health and Social Care.
Your next role
We are seeking Housekeeper to complement our current friendly supportive team at Fessey House, a residential care home providing practical, emotional and physical support for older people.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to assist us in the provision of excellent services to vulnerable adults. You will provide support to maintain our service users’ skills. We endeavour to maximise independence and maintain a high quality of life.
The ability to attend training and work in a team environment will be crucial to the position. Experience of working with elderly people either formal or informal is also essential. Full training will be given to allow you to develop in the role.
You must have an awareness of Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
An ability to read and write in English is essential.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
Working with us
The service operates with a mixture of shift patterns including “earlies” from 8:30am to 12:30pm and “lates” from 3:30pm to 7:30pm on a rolling 2 week rota with a requirement to work every other weekend.
Fessey House is located on Brookdene in Haydon Wick, easily accessible by bus between Orbital Shopping Park and Park North on the number 5 service or between Taw Hill and Middle Wichel on the number 11 service
