Summary

Stage Crew

Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for full-time, experienced Stage Crew to work on the London production of MEAN GIRLS.

Book by Tina Fey, music by Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Nell Benjamin and Directed and Choreographed by Casey Nicholaw - this musical will arrive in the West End in June 2024.

The Stage Crew will work closely with the Head of Stage, Stage Manager, and creative team in establishing and executing the stage needs of the production both in rehearsal and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Excellent communication
Assisting in the daily running of all productions, in conjunction with the Stage and Stage Management Teams.
Carrying out stage cues including moving scenery, furniture and props
To log write up a comprehensive and easy to understand cue sheet so the show can be covered in the event of absence
Keeping clean and safe the stage, dock and backstage areas ensuring entrances and exits are well maintained and kept clear.
Ensuring all staff and areas for which you are responsible adhere to health and safety regulations.
Assist the head of stage in the maintenance and repair of set and prop elements
Essential experience includes:

Previous stage crew on a large-scale West End production.
Experience running deck plots and an understanding of stage etiquette.
An understanding and practical knowledge of the principles and safe working practices of theatre rigging, automation systems and set construction.
Basic carpentry skills.

Please Note: All applicants must be able to commit to the full contract and must have the right to work in the UK.
Job Location: West End London
Contract Type: Fixed term until Sunday 8th June 2025, or for the run of the Production, whichever shall be the shorter, subject to two weeks’ notice by the Producer as per the SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks; 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
