Summary

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is a global research and learning organisation for equitable and sustainable change, based in Brighton. The Project Management Unit (PMU) at IDS are seeking to recruit a Project Support Officer to provide project support for a number of projects; duties include assisting with project planning at all levels within the PMU, providing support for project managers and project teams, communicating with stakeholders, collating, light formatting, and proof reading, preparing documents and reports, working with partners and setting up subcontracts, coordinating day to day operational aspects of the project(s), work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s), coordinating and monitoring budgets to support the project being delivered within budget, supporting the development of project proposals, and supporting the administration of specific events, such as workshops, seminars, or short courses. Applicants should have previous administration experience and an understanding and experience of financial spreadsheets in Excel.

This role will initially primarily focus on the proposal elements of the PSO role and assist with coordinating and implementing many of the proposals during this busy time.

Although IDS is a sponsoring organisation unfortunately we would not be able to obtain a certificate of sponsor for this particular post as the role does not meet the requirements (skills & salary threshold) as outlined in the Skilled Worker guidelines
