Are you a graduate interested in starting or furthering your career in finance?

Can you use your analytical and problem-solving skills to make accurate and informed decisions?

Like the idea of work placements across a range of Finance teams, which will give you a unique experience of how finance works within HMRC?

If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Our financial services are vital not only to the everyday running of HMRC but to building the Department’s future as a trusted, modern tax and customs department. To do this, we need great people like you to support and build a professional, empowered and inclusive Finance Function right across HMRC.

You will study towards a CIMA Finance Qualification via a Level 7 Apprenticeship.

The scheme duration is 4 years. After 2 years, and a successful assessment, you will be offered promotion to Senior Officer, and you will receive a salary uplift.

During your apprenticeship you will carry out work placements across a range of Finance teams, which will give you a unique experience of how finance works within HMRC, while also studying for your qualification.

There are 4 placements in total, 3 x 1-year placements in Finance roles and then you will spend your final year on a development programme.

Your work placements will ensure that you gain the variety and breadth of experience required to be recognised as a qualified accountant.

You will be supported to gain skills and experience needed to apply for G7 opportunities through fair and open competition.
