Job Purpose:
I am a friendly gentleman with a brain injury who is seeking a Personal Assistant to support me to remain independent and assist me with everyday living tasks. The main duties of this job role will include: personal care, meal preparation, light cleaning duties and accompanying me outside of the home.

Due to mobility problems I require the use of a stand aid to assist me with transfers and I use a stairlift to get downstairs. Every morning I will require assistance to get out of bed and then get washed and dressed. I also require assistance with toileting.

I attend a packing job for one morning per week, for an hour at a time, and I require someone who can accompany to this.

My brain injury can cause me to become frustrated and anxious at times, as such, someone with an understanding or experience of working with individuals with brain injuries would be ideal.

I can sometimes lose motivation and would like someone who can encourage and support me to engage in activities that are beneficial for me. This could include, prompting me to do my physio exercises and encouraging me to stick to a routine.
