I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me for 8 hours a week spread over 2 days during the work week (can be flexible on the 2 days). I would like a person who has fluent British Sign Language Skills or to a Level 3 standard and above.
I am looking for someone to help me visit new places, including researching places to visit, planning the bus route and familiarising with journeys. I like to try new experiences and activities and need help choosing and planning activities.
I would like this person to be kind and patient with a good sense of humour. By providing me with assistance I will be able to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in my own home and within the community.
The Personal Assistant should feel confident to ask what my needs are and also be willing to listen to my requests and the directions that I give and ask when you have not understood my request. Be able to provide me with positive encouragement.
