Job Purpose:I am young disabled mum with a 6-year-old child. My disability is a result of spinal operation and it affects my ability to feel my fingers, toes and legs which means I can fall easily due to poor balance. I am also suffering from depression and anxiety. I would like a female Personal Assistant to support me in my parenting role, someone to help me to maintain my independence and improve my well beingLocation: Norwich, NR6Details:

  • Support with meal preparation; domestic tasks including hoovering, cleaning the bathroom and general tidying up as well as making the beds in the morning.
  • Support with taking my child to school and with attending school meetings.
  • Supporting me and my child with activities, such as day trips and going to the park or shops.
  • Support with making decisions around finances.
  • Companionship to improve my general well being.
  • Support for my child when my mental health is at low state.
Person specification:

Essential
  • Patient and understanding.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Car owner with a business insurance.
Summary terms and conditions:
  • The rate of pay for this position is £12.50 per hour.
  • Hours and times of work: Friday, 11:00 - 17:30, Saturday 11:00 - 18:00 and holiday cover.
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive week.
  • Free Care Skills training provided to employees

  • If this job requires any of the following: Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemical, Food Handling, Handling of Medication. You will be required undertake annual training.
The post is subject to the following:
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
