Job Purpose
To provide care and support to a child with severe special educational needs primarily during Norfolk School Holiday Dates (approximately 12 hours per week, Tuesday's and Thursday's only during school holidays)
Location: PE14, Marshland St James
Main Duties:
- Assisting with daily care and supervision at home.
- Supporting communication development with objects of reference and PECs.
- Helping to facilitate safe play.
- Personal Care
These duties may vary from day to day
Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary
Please note that the place of work is not accessible, so a car is essential.
Person Specification

Essential
- Experience of working or caring for children with special educational needs.
- Awareness of Autism.
Preferred
- Experience of using PECs and/or objects of reference
Summary Terms and Conditions
- You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses as part of this role.
- The rate of pay for this position is £11.44 p/h
- Hours and times of work negotiated with employer, who will be Mum.
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 3 months.
