Care Assistant required to support a young male (aged 23) with Down’s Syndrome who has limited speech, and who lives in the Bournmoor, Houghton le Spring area.
A Care assistant is required to take the young man out and about into the community and support him to engage in activities.
Hours /Wage
4 hours per week @ £12 an hour
One evening a week.
Duties
You will be taking the service user out to activities (for example Man Club) to support him to engage in the community.
Additional Requirements/Information
Experience in working in care field and with people with Downs Syndrome or similar would be an advantage.
You will need to have access to your own transport.
Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost
