This is a temporary position within the driving industry, offering a pay rate of £13.00 per hour.Responsibilities:- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle, adhering to all relevant UK driving regulations and laws.- Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, reporting any defects or issues promptly.- Efficiently load, unload, and deliver a range of products to customers within designated timeframes.- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all products are handled with care and professionalism.- Maintain accurate delivery records, including obtaining customer signatures, and promptly report any discrepancies or delays.- Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, ensuring the security and integrity of both the vehicle and its contents at all times.- Communicate effectively with the transportation team, promptly reporting any issues, incidents, or delays that may impact delivery schedules.- Maintain a high level of personal presentation, wearing the provided uniform and following the company's dress code policy.- Perform any additional duties or responsibilities as required by the company in a professional and efficient manner.Qualifications:- Valid UK driving license with category C1 entitlement to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle.- A minimum of 1-year professional driving experience, preferably in a similar vehicle category.- Clean driving record with no more than 3 penalty points.- Strong knowledge of UK driving regulations and laws.- Excellent physical fitness, able to handle repetitive lifting, carrying, and loading of heavy items.- Exceptional customer service skills with a personable and professional demeanor.- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate completion of paperwork and delivery documentation.- Ability to work independently, efficiently managing time and adhering to delivery schedules.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Strong problem-solving abilities, making quick and effective decisions to overcome challenges on the road.- A reliable and punctual individual, with flexibility to work varying schedules and occasional weekends.To apply for this exciting opportunity, please visit our website, workchain.co.uk, and complete the online application form.
