Job Title: Podiatrist Grade: Band 6/7 Ward/Dept: OCDEM Diabetic Foot clinic Location: Churchill Hospital, Old Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 7LE Trust: Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday (2 full-time and 1 part-time required) Shift Pattern: 8:00-16:00 The Role Thank you for your interest in this exciting role as a Podiatrist in the diabetic foot clinic at the Churchill Hospital. We are seeking an experienced Podiatrist who is passionate about people and enabling their rehabilitation to fulfil this exciting role. The Trust/Ward/Department Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It incorporates the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM) which is a world-class centre for clinical research on diabetes, endocrine and metabolic disorders, along with clinical treatment and education. The Responsibilities If you are successful in your application to this post, you will be expected to provide specialist podiatry care for inpatients and outpatients across the Oxford University Hospitals Trust. You will be required to manage a caseload consisting of assessing, diagnosing and developing programmes of care for high-risk patients, such as those with advanced neuro-vascular, tissue viability and biomechanical problems. You will have to work and liaise collaboratively with other ward-based health professionals and patients/public in all aspects of their care and service delivery. Plus, contribute to the development of departmental policy and service delivery, to identify the need for podiatry services, evaluate priorities, service analysis, and plan/implement provision accordingly, within contractual agreements To be successful in applying for this role you will need: Enhanced DBS Degree level qualification in Podiatry To be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team NHS experience Previous experience working in an acute setting is highly desired Person Specification Qualifications Essential Relevant degree or equivalent HCPC Registered Essential Criteria Essential Enhanced DBS In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of Relevant Qualifications Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
