Summary

Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer



Job Type: Days based, Perm



Salary: £38,000 - £44,000



Location: Abingdon



Our client is a precision machining company, run by engineers, not accountants, providing a complete one-stop-shop service for high quality, low quantity prototype and experimental components and assemblies. They love high quality complex components and short lead times. A specialist in short, they are a specialist sub-contract manufacturer, with CNC and full assembly capabilities.



They are looking to add another to their team of 10 Millers.



Whats the job?


* Work in all types of raw material from Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Copper, Brass through to Plastics.
* Small batch work OneOff
* Doosan and Hurco machines with Fanuc and Winmax controls
* Working on CADCAM packages (Hypermill)



Responsibilities


* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Effective problem-solving skills
* Ability to work alone or as part of a small team
* Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
* Previous experience within the aerospace tool making industry advantageous
* Engineering apprenticeship as a tool maker or equivalent
