Support Worker/Enabler
Morpeth, Northumberland
JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed Female Support Worker to provide 1:1 close supervision for a 15 year child.
We are currently looking for a Female Support Worker to provide support for a 15 year old child to access the local community with leisure activities. You will be required to provide 1:1 support for a Child at home and in the community providing close supervision at all times. The Child suffers from a neurological condition and as a result of this has some health complexities.You must be able to monitor any physical changes, intervene where necessary and know when urgent medical intervention is required. Hours: 6 hours per week, flexibility can be agreed on working days.Role and Responsibilities:
- To provide an enabling service of 6 hours per week, this may be in the family home and within the local community and local activities.
- Understand Epilepsy and be able to react quickly to any changes. Full training will be given.
- To provide support to administer medication, including emergency medication as and when required.
- To support with personal care as and when required. Support with dressing, undressing, bathing and personal appearance.
- Support with age-appropriate community and leisure activities. Attend local facilities including libraries, cinema, arts and crafts.
- You will be required to ensure the safety of this young person at all times.
- Ensure that you take reasonable care of your own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
- Using your own car may be required during the course of this employment; it must be insured for business use.

- Full Training will be provided where necessary
