Summary

Under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist the successful applicant will undertake assessments, develop psychological formulations, deliver psychological therapy and interventions, undertake service evaluation activities, and support the training of health care professionals. The post holder will be required to offer both individual and group psychological interventions which may be delivered either face to face, or remotely via video or as telephone sessions, to better suit the patients needs. The post holder will be highly motivated, with excellent communication and empathy skills who can work independently and work effectively as part of the Post Viral Service multidisciplinary team. The post holder will also integrate into the wider health psychology department and other therapies services. Depending upon experience there will also be opportunity to support the development of and supervise the Assistant Psychologist. A high level of service evaluation skills will be required to produce clinical reports, assist with development of data systems, and evaluate projects. Much of the work will be able to be conducted remotely as the service is a hybrid service in terms of there being a combination of remote working and working across various sites within the region therefore the ability to travel and adopting a flexible working week is essential. Applicants must be registered and accredited with their relevant professional body. Experience of working with clinical populations, delivering supervision for psychological therapy, and being able to speak Welsh would be desirable.
