Summary

HGV Class 1 ADR Driver in Widnes
We are looking for a ADR HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based in Widnes. This particular company are well known nationally, have operated in the area for over 15 years.
Hour & Shift Pattern
This role is from Monday to Friday, 45 – 55 hours a week, days and nights available. Long term ongoing position with weekly pay. You will be required to carry dangerous good from the depot to various clients. Training will be provided in the first week of work.
As an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and safe transportation of hazardous goods. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating an HGV Class 1 vehicle in compliance with all relevant legislation, ensuring safety and adhering to company policies and procedures.- Safely loading, unloading, and securing hazardous goods, following ADR regulations and guidelines.- Conducting routine vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects promptly.- Accurately completing paperwork, including delivery notes, records of work/rest, and maintaining a detailed logbook.- Building solid relationships with customers by providing outstanding customer service and representing both the company and client in a professional manner.
To thrive in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence and possess an up-to-date ADR certificate (Packages).- Excellent understanding and knowledge of ADR regulations, ensuring safe handling and transport of hazardous materials.- Prior experience in driving HGV Class 1 vehicles is essential, with a clean driving record.- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.- A proactive and flexible approach, with the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and work independently.
