Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate and drive HGV Class 1 vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and regulations- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness- Transport goods and materials to designated locations within specified timeframes- Handle loading and unloading of goods, ensuring utmost care and secure transportation- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete all necessary paperwork promptly- Provide exceptional customer service while handling customer queries, concerns, and special requests- Comply with all relevant health and safety guidelines to ensure personal and public safety- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards throughout each assignment
Qualifications:- Valid HGV Class 1 license with no more than 6 penalty points- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification- Proven experience in driving heavy goods vehicles, specifically Class 1- Excellent knowledge of transport regulations, road safety, and driving best practices- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurately completing paperwork- Ability to work independently and efficiently as well as part of a team- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues professionally- Flexibility regarding working hours and ability to adapt to changing schedules- Positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
