Key Responsibilities:
Operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and efficiently within Derby and its surrounding areas.
Ensure timely and reliable delivery of goods to customers, maintaining high standards of service.
Adhere to all traffic regulations and relevant legislation governing road transportation.
Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with maintenance standards
Safely load and unload goods, securing them during transportation to prevent damage.
Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery, and report any discrepancies.
Uphold health and safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid 7.5-tonne driving license, CPC, and Digi-Tacho cards.
Possess a clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points and no prior disqualifications.
Demonstrated experience in driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle, preferably in a delivery capacity.
Strong knowledge of Derby and its surrounding areas to optimize delivery routes.
Proficient navigational skills, including the use of GPS and other relevant technologies.
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, for effective customer interaction.
Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
