Responsibilities:- Safely operate and manoeuvre a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle in accordance with road safety regulations and company guidelines.- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.- Deliver a wide range of goods to various locations in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining high levels of professionalism at all times.- Secure and load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring it is handled with care to prevent damage.- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on-time, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained and signed.- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications:- Valid Category C (HGV Class 2) driving license.- Proof of Driver Qualification Card (CPC Card) and Digital Tachograph Card.- Proven track record as an HGV driver, with experience in safely operating Class 2 vehicles.- Strong knowledge of UK road laws and regulations.- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight schedules and deadlines.- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.50 per hour
