Summary
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is an experienced registered nurse with specialist skills to assess and treat dermatology patients and manage the clinical environment, in liaison with the management and consultant team. The nurse will act as an autonomous practitioner in forming clinical decisions and complex management plans in the assessment and treatment of patients. In conjunction with senior nursing and consultant staff formulate the development of clinical guidance for all aspects of clinical practice within the clinical speciality. The post holder will work closely with the interdisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that high quality patient care is maintained. Nurse Led follow up clinics - Provide advice and guidance to follow up patients - Managing NHS patients in the Private sector helping in the reduction of NHS waiting lists. - Work independently managing own workload for dermatology clinics for breaking bad news at diagnosis, general dermatology follow up clinics. - Work closely with Consultants on follow up appointments.
