Title: Temporary Class 2 Driver - LichfieldWorkchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver for our esteemed client based in Lichfield. This is a temporary position within the driving industry, offering competitive pay rates ranging from £13.00 to £14.00 per hour.Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 vehicle (Category C) to transport goods and materials throughout designated routes in Lichfield and surrounding areas.- Complete pre and post-checks on the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues promptly.- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and customer requirements, ensuring the safe delivery of goods.- Assist with loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling and securing of items for transit.- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and customer signatures.- Provide exceptional customer service by exhibiting a professional and courteous attitude and resolving any delivery issues or concerns effectively.- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.Qualifications Required:- Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license, including CPC and DQC qualifications.- Previous experience as a Class 2 Driver is essential, preferably within a similar role or industry.- Good knowledge of Lichfield and surrounding areas, or the ability to quickly and efficiently navigate unknown routes using navigation aids.- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and provide quality service.- Honesty, reliability, and a positive attitude are crucial for success in this role.- Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual handling tasks as required.To apply for this position, please visit our website workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
