This exciting opportunity is perfect for an experienced professional looking for temporary employment in the driving industry.Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle during night shifts, ensuring on-time delivery of goods to specified locations.- Adhere to the driving schedule, ensuring all routes and deliveries are completed within the given timeframe.- Follow all relevant traffic and safety regulations, ensuring the vehicle is always in perfect working condition.- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections prior to departure to identify any potential maintenance issues.- Handle loading and unloading of goods, ensuring their proper placement and security within the vehicle.- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, noting any discrepancies or incidents occurring during the journey.- Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers, providing updates and ensuring smooth operations.- Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver exceptional customer service at all times.Qualifications:- Valid and up-to-date HGV Class 1 license, including relevant CPC qualifications.- Proven experience within the driving industry, particularly with night trunking.- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and proven ability to adhere to them.- Able to effectively plan routes and allocate loading and unloading times efficiently.- Strong physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks associated with the role.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping.Pay Rate: £16.00 per hourTo apply, please visit our website workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
