Workchain, a reputable UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Night Trunker to join our client's team in Lichfield.Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently transport goods using a Class 1 HGV vehicle during night shifts.- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness.- Adhere to all relevant road and safety regulations to guarantee a secure and accident-free journey.- Collect and deliver goods at specified locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.- Monitor and maintain necessary documentation, such as delivery notes and proof of delivery, to ensure accurate record-keeping.- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper loading and unloading of goods in a safe and organized manner.- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and helpful attitude during interactions with clients and colleagues.Qualifications:- Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 license with a maximum of 6 penalty points.- Possess a current CPC and tachograph card, demonstrating compliance with driver regulations.- Proven experience as a HGV driver, especially in long-haul transportation, is essential.- Excellent knowledge of UK road regulations and HGV driving laws.- Strong attention to detail and time management skills, enabling efficient delivery schedules.- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.- Able to work independently and make sound decisions while on the road.If you have the required qualifications and relevant experience, we invite you to apply through our website, workchain.co.uk, by completing the online application form.
