This exciting opportunity is within the driving industry and offers an attractive pay rate ranging from £13.00 to £14.00 per hour.Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle in compliance with all relevant regulations and legal requirements.- Conduct routine checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition before, during, and after the journeys.- Safely load and unload goods according to given instructions, ensuring the security and protection of the load during transit.- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the transport team, ensuring prompt and accurate deliveries to designated destinations.- Maintain accurate records, such as delivery times, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents encountered during the journey.- Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and other road users, representing our client in a professional and courteous manner at all times.- Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, taking appropriate measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damages.Qualifications Required:- Hold a valid HGV Class 2 license with no more than 6 penalty points.- Possess a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).- Demonstrate a solid understanding of current driving regulations and industry best practices.- Have experience in driving HGV vehicles, ideally within a similar role.- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.- Able to work independently and as part of a team, displaying reliability and punctuality.- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete all necessary paperwork.To apply for this position, please visit our website at workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
