We, at Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our prestigious client's team on a temporary basis.Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations.- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.- Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, reporting any issues promptly.- Ensure all paperwork, including delivery notes and logbooks, are completed accurately and in a timely manner.- Maintain excellent customer service by presenting a professional and positive image while interacting with clients.- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to optimize delivery schedules and routes for maximum efficiency.- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and tidy work environment both inside the vehicle and externally.- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and transport management to provide regular updates on delivery progress.Qualifications:- Hold a valid and up-to-date HGV Class 1 driving license and Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).- Prior experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, preferably within the Driving industry, demonstrating excellent driving skills and knowledge of current regulations.- Good understanding of Colwick's road network and surrounding areas.- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and handle unexpected situations or changes in delivery plans.- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate completion of paperwork and adherence to all legal requirements.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and other road users.Pay Rate: £14.00 per hourTo apply for this exciting opportunity, please visit our website at workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
