Summary
Title: Temporary Car/Van Driver - ChesterfieldJob Summary:Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Temporary Car/Van Driver for our esteemed client based in Chesterfield. Joining the dynamic driving industry, you will be responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections efficiently and promptly. This role offers competitive pay rates ranging from £11.00 to £11.50 per hour.Responsibilities:1. Safely operate and drive company vehicles, including cars and vans, to fulfill delivery and collection orders within designated timeframes.2. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, securing cargo as required.3. Conduct regular maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and report any defects promptly.4. Interact professionally with customers, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times.5. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and completed paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle checks.6. Adhere to all legal regulations concerning road safety, vehicle maintenance, and driver conduct.7. Collaborate with other team members and warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and superior service delivery.Qualifications:1. Hold a valid UK driving license, with a maximum of 3 penalty points (no more than 3 points to be obtained in the last 3 years).2. Possess a solid understanding of UK driving laws, regulations, and guidelines.3. Previous professional driving experience, preferably within the delivery/collection industry.4. Excellent knowledge of Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.5. Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable demeanor.6. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.7. Physically fit, capable of carrying out manual handling tasks as required.
