We are looking for someone (local to Otley) who can support our daughter in looking after her dog and offer extra support to herself when we take respite breaks or cover her existing PAs when they are on annual leave or sick. She is a wonderful, caring and fun young woman who loves making different crafts, reading, baking, watching TV and is very content in the home, however, suffers from extremely high levels of anxiety which affects her physically and restricts her ability to undertake everyday tasks, leaving the house and socialising.
You will be required to walk her dog (strong Labrador) on a Tuesday and Thursday late afternoon/early evening for about 1 hour to 1.5 hours on a regular basis, times to be agreed (and wipe him down).
Respite cover will be planned in advance and will involve walking her dog more frequently and ensuring he is clean and has everything he needs before you leave. Support for our daughter may also be required which may include but not limited to preparing and making food / drinks, assisting with any tasks she may need support with, household duties and spending time with her.
Respite cover may include weekdays, weekends and sleeping nights.
PA cover may include Tuesday and Thursdays 11:30am to 2:30pm.
