Brooklands College is a Further Education College with two campuses based in Weybridge, Surrey and Ashford, Middlesex. We pride

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a new Speech and Language Therapist role across both discrete and mainstream provision
at Brooklands College. The role involves working as part of the College team to assess young peoples’ needs, and to design and
deliver speech and language therapeutic programmes to a range of high needs learners with complex needs, such as: SLCN; learning
difficulties and/or disabilities; autism; Asperger’s; and emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.
You will work closely with the Heads of Progression and EHCP Co-ordinator to provide a detailed assessment of a learner’s speech,
language and communication needs, and develop an individual or group therapeutic programme to ensure that the appropriate support
is in place for a young person as set out in their Education, Health and Care Plan by the local authority.
You will be expected to provide regular reports of learner progress for EHCP reviews, and contribute to staff development and
training by advising managers, tutors and support teams on how to embed speech, language and communication strategies effectively.
You must hold relevant, professional qualifications and have experience of delivering speech and language therapy to children and
young people with a range of communication difficulties. A skilled communicator, you are able to engage with young people and help
them develop strategies to overcome their language difficulties.
This position is required to work flexibly to support other colleges within the surrey region on an adhoc basis.
