As a trusted recruitment partner, we specialize in connecting talented individuals with their dream jobs!Responsibilities:- Safely operate a car/van for the transportation of goods and materials as assigned by our client.- Follow delivery schedules and ensure timely and efficient completion of all deliveries.- Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road.- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning.- Load and unload goods onto the vehicle, ensuring they are secured appropriately to prevent any damage during transportation.- Communicate with dispatchers to receive job assignments and updates on delivery routes or any potential delays.- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.- Keep accurate records of deliveries made, mileage covered, and any incidents or issues encountered during transportation.- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate and efficient loading and unloading processes.Qualifications:- Valid UK Driving License (Category B) with no more than X points.- Proven experience as a Car/Van Driver or a similar role, with a clean driving record.- Excellent knowledge of Walsall and the surrounding areas, including the ability to navigate using maps, GPS systems, or navigation apps.- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items, as the role may require loading and unloading.- Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, such as regularly checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and general vehicle cleanliness.To apply for this exciting opportunity, please visit our website workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
