Please note that applications can only be accepted through our website, workchain.co.uk, where candidates must complete the online application form.Responsibilities:- Safely operate and maneuver an HGV Class 1 vehicle, following all relevant road regulations and safety guidelines.- Transport goods and materials to designated locations promptly and efficiently.- Adhere to delivery schedules, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time.- Accurately complete paperwork and maintain proper documentation related to deliveries, collections, and vehicle checks.- Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles, reporting any defects or issues promptly.- Ensure the vehicle is loaded and unloaded safely and securely, taking necessary precautions to protect the goods in transit.- Communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers, providing updates on delivery times and resolving any issues or queries that may arise.- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure effective coordination and smooth loading/unloading processes.Qualifications:- Valid HGV Class 1 License with an excellent driving record.- CPC qualification.- Previous experience in driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.- Strong knowledge of the UK road network and traffic regulations.- Ability to work independently and in a team, demonstrating excellent time-management and organizational skills.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork.- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.- Flexibility to handle unexpected situations and adapt to changes in schedules or routes.If you possess the necessary qualifications and skills for this role, we encourage you to apply through our website, workchain.co.uk, by completing the online application form.
