Workchain, a reputable UK-based recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our client's team in Melton Mowbray. This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the industrial industry and contribute to a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Performing general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and stacking products accurately and efficiently- Loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring goods are handled with care to prevent any damages- Organizing and maintaining inventory controls to ensure stock accuracy and availability- Assisting with stock takes and conducting regular quality checks to ensure products meet company standards- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations- Operating manual and automated equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and trolleys
Qualifications and Skills:- Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial environment is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual lifting and repetitive tasks- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues and supervisors- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team- A valid forklift license is advantageous but not essential
Pay Rate:The successful candidate will be offered a competitive pay rate of £10.50 per hour.
