Job Advert:Car/Van Driver - Telford (Temporary)Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Car/Van Driver for our esteemed client based in Telford. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to work in the driving industry.
Start times will be between 0700 - 0800 Monday to Friday. Responsibilities:- Safely transporting goods and/or passengers to designated locations within Telford and its surrounding areas.- Adhering to all road and traffic regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, passengers, and other road users.- Planning and following efficient routes to ensure timely delivery and optimized fuel consumption.- Loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring they are secured properly.- Conducting routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and notifying any defects or mechanical issues to the appropriate channels.- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, incidents, and vehicle maintenance.- Providing exceptional customer service by ensuring professional conduct, punctuality, and respectful interactions with clients and colleagues.Qualifications:- Possession of a valid UK driving license, preferably with Category B entitlement.- Proven experience as a Car/Van Driver, demonstrating a solid track record in safe and efficient driving practices.- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.- Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with customers and team members.- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.- Good physical stamina, as driver duties may involve lifting and moving heavy loads.This position offers an attractive pay rate of £11.00 per hour.
