Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a temporary opportunity in Birmingham. If you are a skilled and dedicated driver with a passion for the driving industry, we want to hear from you!
Start times vary for this particular client ranging from 1700 - 2200. Essential that you have 1 years experience for this particular contract.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate and maneuver heavy goods vehicles (HGV) with a Class 1 license- Transport goods and materials to various destinations, ensuring timely delivery- Adhere to all traffic laws and company regulations at all times- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety issues- Ensure accurate completion of delivery paperwork and maintain records- Provide exceptional customer service and address any queries or concerns- Collaborate with warehouse staff and other team members to ensure efficient operations- Assist in loading and unloading goods when required- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both internally and externally
Qualifications:- Valid HGV Class 1 license is essential- Minimum of 1 year proven experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant traffic laws and driving regulations- Ability to effectively communicate and provide outstanding customer service- Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete accurate paperwork- Physically fit, as the job may require heavy lifting- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights when necessary- Good geographical knowledge of Birmingham and surrounding areas is advantageous
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
