Job Purpose: Supported activities for a young man to help him develop life skills and independenceLocation: IP22, DissDetails: I am an 18 year old man with learning disabilities who requires a PA for supported activities and day to day living tasks. I need help with maintaining habitable home environment and support with learning how to do this. Support with forming routines and increasing my independence. I will need your help to prepare meals, mainly around hot items. When out and about you will support me with taking public transport and using money. I enjoy being in new environments and completing new activities. I particularly like to go out and about, taking trains and bowlingPerson specificationEssential:
Good with childrenFriendly and caringActiveSimilar interestsDriver with own car, clean licence and the appropriate business insuranceDesirable:Would prefer a man due to the nature of my interestsSummary terms and conditions:· The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour· Hours and times of work: One weekend day every other week for 5 hours and an additional day for 5 hours during the school holidays, exact days and times to be agreed ahead of time· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. This position requires mandatory training which will be provided free of charge and needs to be completed before commencement of the job. This will be COSHH, First Aid, Risk Assessment, Health and Safety and Food HygienePost is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
