Male or Female Personal Care Assistant required to provide support to a gentleman in his daily life and activities, he lives in the Peterlee area. This gentleman is in a wheelchair 24/7 he has complex needs and can display challenging behaviour at times that require extra care and attention.
Wage rate is £12.00 per hour
Shifts required - 2-3 weekends out of 4 and some weekdays to cover illness/holiday
Weekend hours required are Saturday 9.30 am - 3.30 pm and Sunday 10 am - 3 pm
On weekdays (only when needed) required hours are:
8.30 am - 10.15 am & 3.30 pm - 4.30 pm & 7 pm - 8.10 pm
Requirements:
Dressing and Undressing
Assisting with meals and medication
Using a hoist
Accompanying him with his daily activities outside of his home and assisting with personal care
Good socialising skills will be required to work with another PA
Previous work experience preferred
Training around care can be provided
PA must be energetic, caring, willing to provide thorough and quality support
A DBS may be required, cost met by employer
