Safely and efficiently operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods across various locations within Sheffield and potentially nationwide.2. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and regulations to ensure compliance and road safety.3. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle and report any defects or issues promptly.4. Load and unload goods, ensuring correct handling and securing of the cargo.5. Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including delivery notes, time sheets, and any other required paperwork.6. Provide outstanding customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients or other road users.7. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, providing regular updates on delivery status or any issues encountered on the road.8. Maintain a high level of industry knowledge, staying informed about relevant changes to driving regulations, routes, and schedules.Qualifications:1. Valid HGV Class 1 driving license (C+E) with a maximum of 6 penalty points.2. Driver CPC qualification and valid Driver Digital Tachograph Card.3. Previous experience in HGV Class 1 driving, preferably within a similar industry.4. A strong understanding of driving regulations, including tachograph laws and working time directive.5. Excellent navigational skills and the ability to efficiently plan routes using maps or navigation devices.6. Strong attention to detail and time management skills.7. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.8.
