Home, a place where you belong

Join us in this great and rewarding job, as our Lead Support Worker (known Internally as Positive Behavioural Support Team Leader). You’ll manage our team to provide person-centred and strengths-based support to our customer (let's call them S) and help them reach their full potential. S has complex care needs, including a moderate learning disability, autism, communication challenges, ADHD, some sensory processing challenges as well as a diagnosis of psychosis.

S, who's in her late teens, is an intelligent, independent, chatty and super direct young lady who enjoys her imaginary friends! S needs a dedicated and positive team to help her reach her full potential. S has some sensory processing difficulties, and can react strongly to touch, both in positive and negative ways, as well as being sensitive to strongly smelling toiletries. When stressed or anxious, S may challenge us, and we’ll make sure you are trained to a high standard to manage on those occasions should they occur.

As our Team Leader you'll help S overcome her barriers to help her lead a fulfilling and meaningful life and reach her true potential. You'll recognise her strengths and abilities and help her take the small steps at her pace, never losing sight of her dreams and aspirations! You're patient and calm, able to adapt your style to S's needs, as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances, even when she challenges us.
