The Lead User Experience Designers will be responsible for leading collaborative digital designs via workshops, review meetings and user critiques across multi-functional tech teams

As the Lead UX Designer you will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Be consistent at developing, championing and being the guardian of the UX process across the business and providing insight and best practice to colleagues across the business.
  • Work with digital-savvy pension guidance colleagues to shape and communicate the user experience vision across digital channels.

  • You will already be working as a UX designer either agency side or within a complex or highly regulated organisation.
  • Demonstrate a natural flair for being user focused and have the ability to champion UX practices across the business.
  • Experience of working with Axure / Figma / Miro / Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent tools.
  • Have a good understanding of cognitive behaviour and behavioural science design techniques.
  • Experience with mobile-first, responsive site design.
  • Experience with accessibility to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard.
  • A basic understanding of accessible front-end development across multiple browsers to inform high quality, implementable solutions.
  • Experience of working with content rich and/or data-intensive websites, ideally for a consumer audience.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration, ideally have been working in agile environment and partnering with multiple digital product teams.

We value people who can bring new perspectives to our teams and encourage you to apply even if you don’t have all of these.

We don’t require a portfolio, but if you have one, we’d love to see it. You will be leading the design of a product aiming to make complicated financial information actionable for the audience, so we are especially interested in examples where you have presented difficult information in a way that makes it engaging and understandable to non-experts.

If you don’t have a portfolio, upon application we will ask for a short (approximately 500 words or less) statement highlighting specific projects or experiences to illustrate your suitability for this role.
