Apollo Home Healthcare needs experienced Healthcare Assistants to provide a high standard of home healthcare services to support a gentleman with complex care needs. We are looking for committed and caring Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, as well as enjoy delivering one-to-one support to a high standard, and can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user is a gentleman who requires 24/7 care.
He loves his garden and being outside. When he is not out in the community socialising, he often spends time on his computer. Our service user is a real foodie and loves his wife’s cooking! He also has strong family values and loves spending time with his family. We are looking for Healthcare Assistants who can get involved in his interests and help him to enjoy the things he loves.
Throughout the night you will be tending to his personal care, administering medications, and carrying out clinical interventions and observations as required.
Our ideal applicant will be a driver with access to a vehicle however, non-drivers will be considered given they have reliable transport if you can get to Scothern even in the winter.
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months' previous care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
Desirable Experience
- Spinal Injury Knowledge
- Knowledge of Autonomic Dysreflexia
- Ventilation Management
- Tracheostomy Care
- Catheter Care
- Driver with access to a vehicle
We have the following shifts available;
- Full Time and Part Time
- Days - 9am - 9pm / 11am - 7pm
- Waking and Sleep in Nights - 9pm - 9am
There is also additional opportunity to pick up extra shifts
