Harvest Operatives (Nightshift)
Location: Ardyne
Salary: £18,200 rising to £19,110 following probation, plus overtime & unsociable hours payments (£17.33 per shift) available
Hours: Nightshift Mon-Fri, guaranteed 35 core hours per week exclusive of unpaid breaks
May be required to work up to 40 hours per week depending on the needs of the business

Due to significant investment in the company, we are now looking to recruit Harvest Operatives to work as directed by the Harvest Manager or their deputy to harvest fish in a consistent manner and to the required standards in accordance with all Food Hygiene, Company Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and all animal welfare recommendations.

Key aspects of the role include:

Pre-harvest checks and set up of site & equipment
Harvest process
Fish swabbing & water/sampling as and when required by Technical post-harvest checks
Cleaning and hygiene processes at the end of each harvest
Preparation for next day’s harvest

Your Skills & Experience:

Team player
Ideally hold a First Aid Certification and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certification
An interest in Aquaculture
Ability to follow policies and procedures
Preferably have experience of working in a similar role
