JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with social media skills to support our social media marketing campaigns.

Place of work Your usual place of work will be our office on Charnwood Street but you may also be expected to work at our City Centre Gallery or offsite.

Job description

Support the management of Artcore's social media channels

Support the optimization of social media content

Work as part of a team to develop and coordinate social media campaigns

Support the marketing campaigns

Provide support to marketing team

SKILLS NEEDED
An understanding of social media platforms and how content works

Creative mindset

An understanding of latest digital marketing trends

Good communication skills

WORKING HOURS
25hrs per week. Fixed days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Fixed hours: 09:30 - 16:15

HOURLY RATE
National minimum wage

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
You will have a line manager and a mentor who will support you throughout your time at Artcore. You will have the opportunity to work be part of and work with all members of our staff team as well as our sessional artists helping to develop teamwork and communication skills.

Artcore run a number of different exhibitions and events throughout the year and you will have the opportunity to put forward ideas and support the planning and delivery of some events.

These events attract members of the public and you will have the opportunity to mix with our diverse audiences building confidence and gaining valuable experience working with a wide variety of people. You will attend weekly team meetings and be encouraged to contribute your thoughts and ideas.

As the Social Media and Marketing Assistant, you will work alongside our experienced IT Technician and our Creative Assistant learning valuable design and IT skills. You will also work with our Project Coordinators and Assistant Curator to help grow our social media presence.

We do not offer any formal training qualifications, however, you will learn from our experienced team how a dynamic arts charity operates.
You will have the opportunity to shadow members of our staff who have a variety of skills and experience. Our diverse staff team offers many opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience a wide range of career options.

We can also support you with CV writing, team-working skills, interview techniques and improving your confidence within the workforce and talk to you about the different career pathways and opportunities that may be open to you in a creative environment.
You will have the opportunity to join our Young Artists Collective. This is a group who meet weekly in our gallery to connect and support each other.
