Summary

PERMANENT ROLE – Working Days 4 on 4 off – £30,910.88 per annum

Class 1 Drivers needed as part of our general haulage supply chain based out of Trafford Park

  • £14.00 per hour
  • £30,910.88 based on average over the year which is 2207.92 hours per annum
  • 4 on 4 off, start time at 06:00
  • Average 42.46 hours per week (excluding meal breaks)
  • £15.29 – hours worked between 18:00 and 04:00
  • £17.50 – overtime rate for hours worked over 188 hours
  • £19.00 – for hours worked on 5th shift
  • £23.50 - for hours worked on 6th shift
  • £23.50 - for hours worked on Bank Holiday
  • £26.20 - night out allowance
  • 20.5 days annual leave; this includes statutory public holidays
  • For every driver that you refer, you can earn an impressive £1,000 (subject to conditions)

Working on behalf of multiple clients, delivering to DCs, cash and carries, collection from breweries across the UK (majority Northern region). On occasions delivering/performing duties to construction sites.

Curtain pulling and ensuring load has been secured.

Average of up to 4 drops and collections per day (depending on distance)

Using app tracking system for registering arrival and departure

How will you contribute?

  • Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.
  • Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
  • Be aware of the vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.
  • Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role.

What will you bring?

  • Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
  • Must have valid in date CPC
  • Must hold Digital tachograph card
  • Must not have more than 6 points on licence
  • 12 months Class 1 driving experience preferred however 6 months Class 1 driving experience will be considered
  • Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
  • Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
  • Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service
  • Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
  • Must have a good geographical knowledge
