JOB SUMMARY
Supporting a small, successful, energetic family-run commercial insurance brokerage to support small business, charity and social enterprise clients; build a strong, dynamic brand and create exciting opportunities for the future.

Planning and creating social media content in written, visual and video form, using photography and apps such as Canva and Vivavideo.
Updating social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) with relevant content and photography, with guidance.
Analysing social media analytics and reporting on it.
Updating website (WordPress), with guidance.
Monitoring and reporting on Search Engine Optimisation and making relevant changes, with guidance.
Contributing ideas based on own skills and experience to improve the company’s marketing strategy.
Assisting with promotional and networking activities.
Receive telephone calls, deal with visitors, take messages and answer straightforward enquiries in accordance with service standards.
Provide general office services such as photocopying, collation, laminating and binding in accordance with guidelines.
Prepare and present a range of documents such as correspondence and emails to an agreed standard.
Operate general office equipment, maintaining stocks of consumables, booking service calls to ensure continuity of service.
Maintain information systems such as filing, client or asset records, booking systems and reference materials ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, ease of use and access.
Deal with incoming and outgoing post in accordance with established procedures.
Enter data into spreadsheets, databases and other electronic information systems, extract and distribute information as directed ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Other duties appropriate to the nature, level and grade of the post.

SKILLS NEEDED

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good numeracy and literacy skills. 3 or more GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths and English Grade 4 and above desirable.
Basic knowledge of a variety of social media platforms.
Able to follow instructions and procedures with guidance.
Ability to plan and organise daily work routines with guidance.
Supportive and effective team player.
Ability to engage with service users and members of the public.
Reliable and keeps good time.
Demonstrates enthusiasm for obtaining a marketing qualification.
Demonstrates integrity and upholds values and principles.

WORKING HOURS
Within office hours: 9am-5pm Mon-Fri Working pattern to be agreed with selected candidate

HOURLY RATE
National minimum wage with the opportunity for enhancements based on performance.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
The successful candidate will be supported by a mentor with a teaching qualification (PGCE) and experience to create a programme of development tailored to the individual’s needs, interests, passions and goals.
