Blu Pebel Ltd

Blu Pebel Ltd is an online retail company.
We sell a variety of household goods through our own websites and ebay.

The position will involve working as part of a small team picking and packaging household goods for couriers to collect from our warehouse on Wilton Road, Grimsby.
We also renovate and repair items for sale when the need arises.
Goods regularly arrive at the warehouse in shipping containers or in vans, which need to be unloaded and stacked in the warehouse.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent attention to detail and good practical skills.

Duties within the stores/warehouse area;
Receiving goods-in, checking the order and placing the product into the correct warehouse space.
Picking, packing and assembling orders.
Arranging for goods to be dispatched.
Using warehouse equipment (eg:pallet truck).
Keeping the stores area clean and tidy.
All other associated duties as required.

This opportunity is for 25 hours per week

Excellent attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Must work well within a team.
Physically able to carry out the demands of the role, as lifting and carrying is required, individually or as part of a two person lift for heavier items.
Reliable timekeeping.
Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
Desired qualifications(Not essential): GCSE grade 4/C or above in maths and English or an equivalent qualification (Functional Skills Level 1). If does not hold a formal qualification must be able to demonstrate ability to do mathematics for orders and weights etc

How will you help the young person manage their timekeeping and attendance?
Employees are required to maintain good timekeeping and make up any lost time during lunch hours if required.

How will you help to develop the young persons teamwork and communication skills?
Both myself and Callum who currently works in the warehouse will show by example and instruction the importance of good communication and teamwork.

What training will the young person receive as part of the role?
The candidate will learn on the job and be under the direct supervision of Callum with regards to learning how to package the different items, stock familiarisation and practical skills such as repair work.

How will you help the young person improve their job prospects?
The candidate will quickly gain a range of practical skills and a work ethic valued by all employers and be assisted with job search and techniques including maintaining a up to date cv.
