Main Purpose: Assist in the upkeep of the building by undertaking repairs and other maintenance tasks as directed.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with the Client, colleagues, and members of the public. This role is for 25 hours per week.
1 Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of internal and external areas as scheduled by site management.
2 Maintain a safe and tidy workspace and ensure minimum disruption to building users whilst working.
3 Promote the Company’s image and maintain a professional appearance by wearing designated uniform & personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, ensuring personal hygiene & appearance standards are met.
4 Report any unsafe or defective company equipment immediately.
5 Ensure equipment, including any machinery used, is cleaned, and returned to designated storerooms in a safe and tidy manner after use ready for next operation.
6 Assist other services as may be required by the Manager.
7 Assist in maintaining store cupboards and replenishing allocated stock / materials.
DBS criminal record check may be required.
No prior experience required.
Ability to operate simple tools/machinery
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to get along with people
NB for the Westminster City Council vacancy, candidates MUST be resident within the borough
Monday - Friday 5 hours per day Hours of work to be determined by relevant site
