JOB SUMMARY
Working as a Trainee Domestic Assistant, you will be working alongside experienced team members to develop your knowledge and experience of maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for our residents, visitors and staff.

You will take direction from other team members to help you develop your practical skills whilst developing your understanding of working in a care home environment.

You will work as part of a team that ensures residents in our care feel valued as individuals.

As a Trainee Domestic Assistant you will:-

Shadow team members to gain practical experience of carrying out duties to a high standard.

Develop your knowledge and hands on experience of the cleaning requirements of different areas and equipment and the properties of cleaning materials, to ensure the areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.

Gain experience of creating positive relationships with all residents, staff, residents families and other visitors to the home by becoming an integral part of the team.

Work with team members to help encourage residents to assist the team with daily work activities.

Understand how to work safely within company policies, seeking advice and guidance when necessary.

Experience and qualifications not essential, as training for this role will be provided

WORKING HOURS
Example of working pattern is: 4 days on 4 days off - Working their 25hrs between 8am to 8pm - to be confirmed with successful candidate

HOURLY RATE
National minimum wage

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
Employability support will be delivered remotely through our Gateway, Learning Curve Group. They will deliver the NCFE Level 1 Employability Skills Award qualification during the placement, working on the following units:

Understanding Mindset
Understanding Motivation
Working in a Team
Writing a CV

Kickstarter's will also be given pastoral support throughout their placement by their personal Employability Coach from Learning Curve Group. During their placement, they will also have the opportunity to complete a vocational Level 2 qualification as supplied by Learning Curve Group through their Flexible Learning offer (55+ available).
