To work as part of a team offering high standards of service and customer care, from a welcoming and professional pharmacy.

Main responsibilities include:
To provide a caring, friendly and professional service to our customers.
To establish customer loyalty.
To maintain high standards of pharmacy appearance, through effective merchandising and housekeeping.
To follow pharmacy security and cash handling procedures.
To follow pharmacy Health & Safety procedures.
To complete an accredited Counter Medicines training course, and any training required by the company to ensure a high degree of customer service.
To maintain high standards of personal appearance and adhere to pharmacy dress code.
To work as part of a team, to develop the profitability of the pharmacy.
Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Actively provide healthy living advice at every opportunity.
The above list is not exhaustive. You may be required to perform other duties, those deemed reasonable by your manager.

Skills they will develop include:
Good customer service, team working, merchandising, accredited MCA training.

Good communication skills and Attention to detail

Mon to Fri 09.00am to 2.00pm, with occasional Saturdays. If working a Saturday, time off will be given during the week Schedule can be flexible.

National Minimum Wage

Northern Training Academy (NTA) will provide each candidate with the following courses:-

CV writings skills
Job Interview techniques
Customer services training

Scientia Skills will provide accredited training course:
MCA - Medicine Counter Assistant

Avicenna will mentor each candidate to ensure all training courses provided are completed.

Each candidate will have an on-site mentor from the pharmacy team.

Each employee will be required to wear appropriate PPE, such as face masks and/or shields, which will be provided by the relevant Company.

Also, each Pharmacy have their own COVID Risk Assessment with regards to distancing, washing of hands, regular cleaning and how many customers are allowed into the shop at one time.

This training will be completed within their Induction.

These have been compiled in conjunction with the National Pharmacy Association guidelines.
