Summary

We currently have opportunities to join the Nursing Bank within Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) in Radlett as a Psychologist for our CAMHS team

All roles on the bank are for as and when workers and therefore in particular may suit those already working part-time, with other commitments, or who want to work on a short-term basis.

Job Summary:

  • The postholder will provide specialist clinical psychological assessment and treatment to young people and adolescents with mental health disorders that are admitted to Forest House Adolescent Unit
  • The post-holder will provide specialist support, guidance and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non- professional carers within community mental health services, primary care and other agencies
  • The postholder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team at Forest House Adolescent Unit, as well as a range of other psychological therapy colleagues within the inpatient unit
  • The postholder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures
  • The postholder will utilise research skills for audit, teaching, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service

Job Responsibilities:

  • The post-holder will provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment including a range of group, family and individual psychological interventions, within the context of the unit philosophy and service model. The postholder will provide specialist support, guidance and consultation on clients’ psychological care to other multi-disciplinary professionals
  • The postholder will work closely with both psychology and other psychological therapy colleagues
  • The postholder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures
  • The post-holder will utilise research skills for audit, teaching, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service
