The Village tailors offers a bespoke, friendly tailoring service made to measure, clothing alterations, and a sewing service to Hawarden, Buckley and other villages. The aim is to provide customer with a swift alteration and repair service while preserving an emphasis on quality and like for like finishing.
In your new role as a Trainee Machinist you will be responsible for job orders and to determine the correct dimensions, machine set up, operating various equipment to ensure components are to the precise customer requirements, us ethe various measurement tools to ensure accuracy, maintain an inventory of completed products, maintain a clean and safe workplace, and plan a proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
This is an opportunity to specialise in the tailoring industry.
No experience necessary as all training provided, good communication and people skills and a can do attitude.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
You will receive industry training relevant to your role. Alongside this Core Selection will provide wrap around employability training for you to ensure you are able to succeed in any future careers you wish to pursue.
Wraparound employability training and support will be given from the Gateway provider Core Selection and this will be delivered via an online training portal Mi-Crow which is 6 months of relevant training modules. This will be combined with one to one coaching with an assigned Core Selection Learning and Development coach.
The external Mi-Crow training programme covers;
• CV Writing
• Interview Coaching
• Job Searching Skills
• Full Microsoft suit training
• Customer service training
• Sales training
There will be 1:1 Mentoring and Feedback on a constant basis to ensure the Kickstarter has progression goals
The candidate will also receive weekly 1:1 support and mentoring with their line manager, ensuring there are set objectives and targets and these are adhered to. The line manager and mentor will work closely with the successful candidate to ensure learning is absorbed and the skills and knowledge they need to become successful in the role.
