JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a self-starter who can take initiative to manage their learning over the next 6 months as they develop into a Digital Marketing whiz.
This is an all-hands-to-deck role in a fast expanding company and gain exposure to a variety of clients and building priceless skills for 2021.
This job will mainly be working within an office environment. So the candidate can be based anywhere in the south of Essex.

We need somebody versatile, intelligent, hardworking and ambitious who can get involved in all aspects of digital marketing as follows:
• Writing: The successful candidate will research, write and publish several interesting and high quality articles per week on a variety of topics. These articles will be published around the internet in order to drive traffic to websites and improve their Google ranking.
• Social Media: The successful candidate will use Canva or their preferred software tool to create exciting graphics and regular posts on social media. We want them to grow a following for our clients and send traffic to websites.
• Paid Advertising Campaigns: The successful candidate will learn to manage and optimise paid ad campaigns on Google, Facebook and Instagram. They will need to interpret data and test ideas in order to improve campaigns.

Over the course of the 6 months we want the candidate to start taking the lead in developing overall digital strategy for clients.
To support this, we want them to spend at least 5 hrs per week of their paid time studying digital marketing and SEO using online videos, blogs and training materials.
We will do whatever we can to facilitate but we need someone who is driven and capable to take the reins for themselves.

SKILLS NEEDED
Good written English (minimum C Grade English at GCSE or equivalent).
A flair for design and technically able to master graphic software tools such as Canva Comfortable on Social Media.
Independent learner able to manage their own development with our support Analysis and problem solving; able to interpret data and test ideas to improve campaigns.

WORKING HOURS
35 hours per week 9:30am to 5:30pm; Monday to Friday 1:00pm to 1:30pm, Lunch Break And 2 nos. 15-minute breaks

HOURLY RATE
National minimum wage

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
We will be using a blend of our employee support process and our own progress and outcome management system to maximise the support offered to our Kickstarters.

Our goals with the employability support will be as follows:
1) Create best practices in supporting young people to excel in their jobs.
2) Building the understanding that employees are well prepared for their role, and understand the expectations and requirements needed for them to succeed. Planning transport to and from work, ensuring reliable attendance (on our attendance monitoring system), and good timekeeping (generates weekly reports).
3) Track their responses to new responsibilities, challenges and ensure their appreciation of our culture and encourage an adaptive attitude.
4) Kickstart employees develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed on their placement, and to transition effectively into permanent employment, including effective communication and teamwork.
5) Kickstart employees plan for work after their Kickstart placement, exploring career options, setting goals, and ultimately securing permanent employment. Including developing a well presented CV and interview skills.

Implementation Plan Outline:
1) Start of placement introductory employability skills workshop, inc. skills analysis and goal setting.
2) Introducing the Kickstarters to employability, career and job searching tools and resources.
3) Regular workshops, including reflections and further employability skills development.
4) Dedicated resource to schedule contact with employee to check progress, and to offer 1-to-1 guidance and support.
5) Understanding of H&S at work including Covid-19 awareness and provision of any COVID related PPE.
6) Provision of any equipment or PPE specifically needed for the role will be provided.
