The Role

As the Service Manager, you will ensure the successful development and delivery of comprehensive, accessible and holistic support to families accessing the charity’s services.

Leading, motivating and guiding your team, you’ll create a culture that attracts, inspires, and retains high quality people.

Specifically, you will:

- Ensure that services are available for, and responsive to the needs of, individuals and families experiencing domestic violence and abuse
- Work closely with the Regional Business Manager to provide an effective refuge and floating support service
- Ensure that service evaluations are completed
- Make sure that any safeguarding matters are effectively handled
- Represent the organisation at key external meetings, public events and conferences
- Remain up-to-date and compliant with current legislation and all organisational procedures

About You

To be considered, you will need:

- Management experience
- Knowledge of policies, legislation and procedures relating to child protection and the protection of vulnerable adults
- A strong level of IT literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- To be empathetic, non-judgemental and able to adapt to change

Ideally, you will have experience of working with vulnerable people and individuals who’ve been affected by domestic abuse. Previous safeguarding training would also be beneficial.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
